If you are looking for a safe sync or wireless way, to trigger remote analogue and DIGITAL flashes, including CANON EZ and EX models, then read on!
This optical trigger will fire your remote flash when it receives the light from your camera mounted master flash. I've tried this sensitive and well made optical slave flash trigger and I'm well impressed.
The approximate range is about 75 ft (22m) or even more, depending on the guide number of the Master flash.
The slave requires no additional power.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Any optical slave can be fooled into early triggering if your Master flash produces a pre-flash, for white balance adjustment or red eye reduction, for example. In many cases, this pre-flash can be turned off, thereby avoiding the problem. As an example, for Canon EX users there is a work round here: Canon ETTL and Optical Slaves
Canon EZ and EX flashes and most other modern digital flashes work fine as slaves with these optical sensors.
Please note that multiple flashes, CANNOT be triggered in parallel using one sensor only. They require one sensor for each flash unit.
